Who we are
Wideline ("Wideline", "we") runs this website. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through it. Questions about this policy go to hello@wideline.io.
What we collect
When you send a project brief we collect what you type: your name, email address, company, who referred you, what you need, your timeline and budget range, and your description of the project.
We do not ask for sensitive information. Please do not include passwords, financial account details or other people’s personal information in a brief.
Referral codes
Some links to this site carry a referral code (for example ?ref=name) so we can thank the business developer who introduced you. We store that code in a first-party cookie called wl_ref for 90 days and include it with any brief you send. It contains no personal information about you.
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights) to count visits and measure page performance. They do not set cookies or build a profile of you.
We also store two small preferences in your browser: whether you prefer reduced motion, and whether you have already seen the intro animation in this session.
How we use your information
We use your brief only to reply to you, to prepare a proposal, and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Briefs are delivered by email through our email provider (Resend) and stored in our email system.
How long we keep it
We keep briefs for as long as we are talking to you and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under POPIA in South Africa or the GDPR in Europe), you can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@wideline.io and we will respond within 30 days.
You can also complain to your local data protection regulator.
